I need a dvd player that plays divx, video cd's etc?

Im looking for a cheap dvd player, or preferably a recordable dvd player, that will play video cd's, divx, and ,multi region pal and ntxc disks.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks.

I have a Nortek DVD player that works fine. You have to reset it to English as it comes set to Italian. But it's really easy to reset.
i recommend the Philips DVP 642 ( http://www.amazon.com/Philips-DVP642-Div... ). it's DivX certified and plays a wide array of different formats. also, applying the region-free hack is trivial: ( http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks/philip... ).

i own one myself and am very happy with it. be aware, however, that it cannot decode H.264-encoded video, so you may encounter some DivX, XviD, or MPEG files that will not play. to fix this, you'll need to transcode the video (search online for instructions and tools).
pick a toshiba dvd player. it plays vcd dvd any kind of disc.
hakamadare is correct, i also have that player its great and plays 99% of computer related video formats :)
Most higher end JVC and Samsung dvd players will do the trick.
the best player and the cheapest player would be a toshiba HP4990 HD dvd player that plays Divx windows media player and other softwares and it only costs $50 at Wal-Mart
